Qin Jiang

Qin Jiang is a professor in the Department of History, School of Humanities, at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). His research focuses on the socioeconomic history of late Imperial China, including the imperial examination system and social mobility, traditional rural industries, and the adoption of theories and methods from the social sciences.

Qin Jiang served as the coordinator for the 8th to 10th Quantitative History Summer School cum Symposium on Quantitative History at SJTU, which was the hosting institution for these annual events.
